Shot Pintail Point this weekend
For those of us in the Maryland/Delaware area, I shot at a club called Pintail Point this weekend for the first time. It is a beautiful place.
Ended up breaking 46 out of 50 on the sporting clays range and look forward to going back pretty soon. I haven't shot clays for almost a year now and I forgot how much fun it is.

I shot there one time, it is very pretty. A little too uppity for me but it is realy nice. A buddy stayed at the bed&breackfast for his anniversery, and had the whole place to himself. Said it was a real hoot.
We really need to get together and shoot there sometime with Skeet. I think that it would be the most central place for the 3 of us. |

No question about it Del. I know Skeet lives a little bit north of the place, and I would be willing to make the drive on any given weekend if I am not hunting. Heck, I'd shoot it next weekend with you guys.
The only thing I am sad about yesterday is that I paid 20.95 for 50 targets, and it only costs $35 to shoot 100 targets. Another $14 would have gotten me an additional 50 targets. I agree it is really nice and I am thinking about taking my wife to their bed & breakfast and teaching her how to shoot sporting clays. Who knows, at the rate my farms are going away, I might have to pay the $1,800 a year for a waterfowl membership there.

Fabs,
I pulled up their web site. That's a pretty nice looking setup. So they let you shoot the golfers balls on the driving range and only charge you $35/100. Charge the golfers $10 a bucket. No wonder they can afford the yachts for fishing and $15 rent a gun. The place sounds like its actually affordable. Even the b&B rental isn't outrageous $300 and sleeps 6/night. Is the golf course open to the public? |

The entire place is open to the public. However, being a member of certain clubs makes it cheaper to shoot, hunt, fish, etc.
Yeah, the place is really nice. Some guy flew in on a helicopter while we were there. I was jealous. I want to be able to fly into a sporting clays course in a helicopter and just start shooting. The bed & breakfast looks really nice too. My wife looked at it with me this morning and she seems excited to go. She was even talking about it tonight on the way to my parent's place and she also seemed interested in shooting some clays out there. I think I'll go out there again before it gets too cold.

Pintail Point
Ah, guys...I used to shoot pintail point for geese years ago...just a small narrow farm then. We used to rent it in the 70's. Shot a lot of geese on the place. The only place I ever shot a Brant in the field A long way from water. It is a nice place...There is another place near here that is kinda nice..Chesapeake Clays. Friend of mine just took the job of manager there.. I've never shot the place but supposed to be fairly decent. They have a B&B also and the caterer that provides the food there on Sunday has good eats! Time to shoot!!! Del...Seen any Teal?? Gonna shoot the Nanticoke with me this year Fabs??

I have not seen any teal yet, but then again Assowoman wildlife refuge does not hold the ducks like it use to . I might take a ride up to Primehook this week sometime to take a look there, if anyone has birds it will be them.
Where is this other place you are talkin about Skeet? Maybe this Sunday we can get together, my wife is off so I will beable to get away. |

Skeet,
Any time you invite me, I'll be shooting whatever with you. The only thing that really prevents me from taking off from work is Court, and that is only every other blue moon. Del, I have Sunday free, so we could get together and shoot if you and Skeet are available. It would be nice to get some more shooting in before the waterfowl season opens. Plus, Maryland doesn't allow hunting on Sundays.
