FYI - Yellowsone

Just did a 3-day'r in Yellowsone.

RE: elk.

Some really nice bulls.

Some satellite bulls.

4 to 5 cows per bull.

Most cases no calves with the small groups.

Those groups that had calves with them, there were no more than 50% calves.

Just a personal observation.

How do you mean "wolves?"

No I didn't see any......

and

Do I suspect that 'wolves' are responsible for reduced calf count?

Between wolves and bear, yep..

I heard the moose calves are really on the decline too.
