Guns and Canada
Just wondering...I have been invited on a hunt in Canada and was thinking of using my Contender Carbine . Is it allowed to bring a Contender(carbine) into Canada?? BTW it is in 35 Remington caliber not a handgun caliber

I think I need a pic first to tell you for sure. I guess if it looks like a handgun, i.e. not a rifle stock, you are sol. Now if it has a rifle stock and the barrel length is greater than 18.5" you should be ok.

If you are coming and bringnig it with you I would be prepared to wait around one month for all the legal paperwork to ge to you for the importation into canada and your temporary firearms licence and for the eventual return into the Us papaerwork from your own border service
It might be a lot easier to "borrow" a firearm when you are here
