Talking WHOO Doggy them buggers are out in force!

Well conservationists lemme tell ya what. The last two years of huntin' my little patch and poof this year the durn buggers have taken over. I spotted at LEAST two dozen nests, and at one point I had so many squirrels runnin' around me that I actually froze up! I couldn't decide which one to shoot at first! I was laughing so hard that I could barely see anyway! Well I got one bugger who was well endowed and gray haired, but the rest of 'em looked purty young runnin' around out there. This is gonna be some season. Fer those in the areas that have them, Persimmon crop is headed fer the ground in waves, deer manure is piled up ankle deep around the trees (which I am sure the trees appreciate) and it looks like we are going to have a purty decent acorn crop after all (at least I can hope!) Howsomeever the American Beauty berry crop in my area looks like it is gonna be a no go, some kinda web worms are attackin everything that dont move, and even my chickens dont seem to want to eat the things.

Any news from other parts of the country?

i know you are pretty far from me, but the dry conditions we had all summer are making for a bumper crop of acorns. archery hunting i have seen so many squirrels its rediculous. and get this my brother who doesnt get out any more told me he hasnt had squirrel in forever and he misses it. sounds like a reason to knock a few out of the trees.
