Leaving in the Morning

Hunting partner and myself will leave bout 8am in the morning
for the annual trip to the Gore Range. Trailer is packed, just gotta transfer stuff from freezer to coolers. Weather forcast...which could change in a heartbeat...is for 20/30 at night, 30/40's in day.
Snow mixed with rain, sunny for rest of trip. We should have a good time.
Dan

Good Luck to ya Dan,

I wish I were heading to the Gore this year but I'll be missing out on elk hunting this go around. Hey there's always next year!

I'm concentrating on these monster PA bucks right now.

Second season right? You get a muley tag too?

Take a lot of pictures...I'd love to see those mountains again.

Thanks for the wishes, we got back yesturday evening, frustrated. Walked, rode, sat, glassed....worked dark tember
and open. Saw NO elk, only two little fork horn bucks...not a single doe or cow! Only consolation was no one else was doing any good either!. Bagged a few grouse early and did see 3 nice bull Moose....one of which walked through the camp! No Moose tags as this is not a moose area yet! First I've ever seen live!We were blessed with snow, rain and about 2" of sleet right after we got tent up and tarps over it. I got a down vest that hasn't dried out yet!LOL
We did have a wonderfull time.....thats what it's all about.

First thing to pack on any hunting trip is a positive attitude. I'd be glad to hunt with you, if you put in the effort sooner or later you'll get your due.
