Any food source or trails leading from bedding areas to food sources... Basically where you would be hunting is where I put mine.

I do put my camera on food plots that I don't hunt just to see what type of activity I'm getting. If you're using a 35 MM, set it to take at least 2 consecutive pictures (even digital since pictures dont' cost anything on a digital) If at night, the flash will result in a different posture possibly giving you a different angle to go on. You'll "normally" get lucky and get a side view and frontal spread view of a buck.

My camera's are normally 5-10 yards from where I want the deer to pass through, not any further...but that's b/c of the restrictions of my camera. (Stealth Cam 35 mm)

The only extra advice I'd give you is to not set it directly East or West since the sun WILL false set off the camera. That can get pricy if you're using film plus get you all excited over nothing. I also burnt up a roll of film by setting my camera next to a big ol snag that had a coon living in it. Took 4 pictures each night, 2 of him coming down the tree and 2 going back up

My buddy is borrowing it as we speak since he's getting a lot of scrapping activity right now on his property and hasn't seen the buck yet. He set it up 5 yards from the scrape yesterday and tol me this morning it's got some pictures on it. Looks like his buck is nocturnal, but it'll give him and idea of at least one of the bucks hitting the scrape.

Check out the photo section on the board and look for the thread called "Pictures on my Property". Those all came from my camera about a month ago, aside from the one in velvet.

The two in the field are around 10 yards away. The one buck walking from left to right is about 3 yards away and the one running away is about 4 yards away from the camera

Here's the quick Link for you!!
