Talking First Catch

This is my first fox!!
My brother David,10, likes to trap with me, so this year I taught him how to make a dirthole set.I used red fox glands from a trappers supply, and red fox urine.I didn't expect to catch anything, but was a little disapointed to find the trap empty the first day,but the second day I, as well as my brother, was very surprised to find a grey fox in our trap. The picture is of me (l) and my brother (r) David.

Nulle- If you're interested in mounting a fox I would sell you one ($10). I studied a little bit about taxidermy myself, I like to tan furs but I never tried to mount something.

Blktail- I use 1 1/2 to a 1 3/4 duke coilspring and stake them with rebar. This coyote was not too big but the 1 1/2 held him tight (i was trying to catch a fox with that trap).
And I try to clean up all the skulls, but I shoot them with a .22 LR in the head, so sometimes the bottom of the skull is blown out a little.

speaking of skulls, i have one from a black bear burried in the backyard now. trouble is, all the skull i have are damaged due to the finishing shot. a 41mag at point blank does some nasty damage.

So far I've caught:

5 grey fox
1 red fox
2 coyote (one was a road kill)
2 possum
1 skunk

This is the first year I've set traps for fox and coyote!

This is a picture of a road kill coyote, I picked it up coming home from church. The skin was really nice, but who ever hit it cut off the tail.
