'Twas the day before Christmas ...

and Mil Dot was planning to do some ice fishing Christmas Day, but had to revise due to a stiff warm wind (about 45mph @ 60 degrees) the last few days. Now it looks as though some target shooting or coyote calling may be the plan.

Any of you folks going out to do some outdoor fun?

Have A Merry Christmas Folks!

Tis the day before Christmas.....

I'm about to fry the chooky (chicken) for the Christmas Gumbo, made the roux the other day.

Major family gathering tonight and tomorrow. 5 of 7 kids + their kids + a nephew will be there. Sister/husband (nephews parents) their daughter/husband will arrive the next day.

Same warm weather, snow's all gone Will set the "steel" coyote out at about 700yds and plunk at it w/the yote rifle, which is the same as my chuck/deer/elk rifle (338 Winny). That otta thump 'em. Just a little exercise to refine the drop chart. Yote snipeing starts in ernest monday.

I was off to the gun range this morning. Shot the 'evil black rifles', including my SOCOM and my M1A. Boy those rifles shoot well

I am cooking a ham for tonight, along with a venison loin. All the trimmings also

My kids are off with their Sig Others this year, but it had to happen some time. The youngest is 30 now. About time, is more like it.

Tommorrow afternoon, we will spend with friends here in Miami. I am making a Guava Cheesecake for that annual event.

Hope all have a wonderful Christmas

Lets not forget our Servicemen and Women, who are over there, making it possible for us at home to enjoy what we have.
