World Shooting Complex

For anyone interested: The new shooting complex at Sparta, Il. is where the Grands will be held. It's quite a complex, by the pictures anyway.

I lve in St. Louis, and it will be nice to have this facility available.

Having never observed the "Grand National Trap Shoot," I plan on observing this fall. Supposedly it is also a good place to find used shotguns.

I wish I lived that close to a facility like that. However, I really cannot complain because I have several sporting clays courses within a 2 hour ride of me and several other trap and skeet ranges.

I also have never been to the Grands, I do have several friends who have been and as I understand it is a good place to pick up a used gun. BUT, be sure to bring your check book, you won't find the everyday shotgun there. I have heard of trap guns upward of $20,000. I want to go to try and get info about becoming a dealer for clay birds. The vendor area is supposed to be huge, and a day trip in itself. Our local cowboy shooters did real well at the championships there this year with a club first and several individual honors.

Gold be sure to check out the Perazzi tent, I hear they're cheap. Ha!!

FOR ANY OF YOU WHO THINK YOU KNOW OR CAN SHOOT A SHOTGUN YOU WILL FIND THE GRAND AMERICAN A VEEEEEEERY HUMBLING EXPERIENCE. THOSE FOLKS ARE THE CREME DE LA CREME OF THE SHOTGUN.

I ATTENDED SEVERAL SHOOTS WHEN I LIVED IN DAYTON. I WAS NOT A PARTICIPANT. IF YA CAN'T BREAK 998 OUT OF 1000 BIRDS JUST LEAVE YOUR GUN AT HOME AND SIT IN THE BLEACHERS LIKE I DID.

WOOOOOOOW WHAT A SHOW.

Why stop at the Perazzi tent, head on to the Krieghoff tent too. I have heard that Krieghoff's are a lot cheaper than Perazzi's. LOL
