Local newspaper

In my local news paper: An elderly couple got a divorce and the judge gave them joint custody of the two family dashounds. When the lady went to her ex's residence to pick up the dogs for her visitation the ex hubby refused to let the dogs go. A little later he went to her house, walked in, and killed her. Supposedly he stopped on the way and told his friends what he was going to do. Upon being questioned he admitted to the killing and said he just didnt want to share his dogs.

Isn't it kind of crazy what people will do about pets. I cannot believe that Courts actually give joint custody of them in divorce proceedings, but they do. How about giving joint custody of other possessions like couches, heirlooms, and art?

First time I ever heard of shared custody of dogs. I could see if they were breeders and it was their means of income but two family pets! Wouldnt it have made more sense for each to have full custody of one dog. But now, she is dead,-he is going to the big house,- and where will the dogs go?
