Draw length

What is the correct way to measure one`s draw length ?

take a yard stick and put it dead center in your chest. Extend your arms (both of them) down the yard stick and check the # inches it is. That's your draw length.

You know, the last time (a long time ago ) I had mine measured, I pulled a bow back, with an arrow on it that was marked in inches.
My guess is they probably do it different now
