where are the birds?

I live about 30 miles east of St. Louis Mo. Two weeks ago 7,000 to 10,000 snow geese coming off the lake (Baldwin Lake in Illnois). Today (1-29-06) I'd being lying if I said I saw 200 and I think I counted one twice. Has anyone seen any new flights coming south. Or are they hung up somewhere north of here. Any info would be helpful. I don't mind wasting time in the field, but at least I'll know not to carry so much junk.

The day you don't carry all that junk to the blind is the day the birds will be flying left and right and you'll be running out of shells. LOL
