It's official!!!

I got a T-shirt and pager. My SAR application was accepted a couple weeks ago. I can start attending the training and going on searches. I'm pretty excited about it. I'm also hoping to start the paramedic program at ISU-Boise in the fall. Lotsa changes that I'm real excited about.

congrats tater.

sar work is a lot like bombs on aircraft. you hope the resource never has to be used. but when we do need it, it is used with vigor.

good luck in your endeavors.

This and the paramedic training are 2 things I've wanted to do for quite some time and I finally decided to stop making excuses and just do it.

Nah, too much running I did think about giving it a shot when I was going through basic but then I heard about how long their training is and how often they are TDY and I didn't figure that would be a good way to start my marriage. I've seen them work, though, and have mucho respect for them...a real good bunch of guys.
