Smile Claw Extractor

I just got a Winchester Feather weight. I found that I can take off the extractor with just my bare hands. Is it supposed to be that easy or do I have a problem? On my 98's I use the Brownell tool.

I have/had about 3 dozen Mod. 70s, all P-64s and currently have ten; I consider this to be a minor defect, BUT, unless you hunt/work in Grizzly country and if the rifle functions correctly, I would just leave it.

The Mod. 70 is a VERY good rifle, but, it's extractor is not a proper Mauser 98 pattern and is not quite as reliable under certain kinds of stresses.....but, this is largely theoretical in most hunting conditions.

Test it thoroughly and then decide.
