Fixing a Bow

I have an old Bear Recurve bow that is delaminating I guess you would call it. The lower limb is coming apart . Fiberglass from the wood and also on the interior of the laminate. Anything that can be done about this with out getting into a bunch of money?? It is only a 38 lb bow..but I killed a deer or two with it in years past. One of the smoothest bows I ever shot. Even better than my Super Kodiak. I could put five arrows out of 5 in a 2" target at 25 yds. That was pretty good for me.

There is really nothing that you can do that will make the bow shootable again...if you know a bowyer they can go ahead and delaminate it ,reglue it and oven cook it again....but who knows what the cost would be...put it on the wall...it has served you well! Let it be the object of many good stories while being admired along with your trophy deer ...etc. It is a part of you and your past hunting experiences....by placing it with your other trophies it will bring a smile for many years to come! kd

Unhappy

Unfortinately, it is time to sound TAPS for the old girl. I hate to see a good piece of wood like that die.
