Sad about Vets

Article on local news, a 84 year old vet of WW2 and his wife were evectied from a laundrymat....where they were trying to stay warm...turn out the guy was one of the 2 surviving Code Talkers...Navajo.....PROUD n too dam proud to ask for aid...
Upon finding this, local post bought them a trailer to live in! Damn shame, but it happens daily!

I too have a hard time replying to this post. It is disgraceful how we can turn our back on those veterns who are in need after what they did for us. Seem to find other monies to give out all over the world tho. I am a vetern myself but, the Lord has blessed me with a good retirement, which I'm thankful for. Not all are so lucky. Am glad to hear that the local VFW or Legion Post came through for them.

What is gonna make you even madder.......when I emailed the particular tv station about trying to start some type of fund to assist these two in their remaing years, I was sent..." It is our policy not to get involved in such things"....
I think local vets will take care of this problem!
