Demagnetizing Plastic Funnel

A long time ago, I read how to get powder to NOT STICK to the sides of a plastic funnel. I didn't pay much attention cause I have always used an aluminum funnel but not I need to use a plastic one with pretty fine powder. Help, any one out there able to help me?

I have heard that one of those sheets you put in your clothes dryer to stop static cling is the thing to use.
Wipe the funnel with one of those sheets, and it's supposed to eliminate static.
Can't say I have tried it- only repeating what I've heard. Hope it helps.

Wash the funnel with dish soap and let it air dry before wipeing with the anti-static sheet. Usually the wash alone will do it but the sheet also helps. Running a pound or two of powder through the funnel will help coat it with graphite from the powder. This will also help keep things moveing.

All three tips work. I use them all, especially with a new funnel.

(But MAN do I miss those great Pacific aluminum funnels! If they could be made ecnomically today, reloaders would buy a bazillion of them.)

Thanks Rocky, Yes you are so right about the Pacific funnel! I have had mine since the 1960's (or there about) and it still has the decal label on it. I use mine 99 % of the time but as it will not sit alone on top of the case without being held , sometimes it is easier to use one of the plastics that fit down over the case neck.

Actually, I have one of Tim's Ultimate Funnels. It's a beauty, but I hesitate to recommend a funnel that costs $30 - plus $5 for each caliber insert.

Tim is a good friend of mine, also. We became friends after I reviewed his powder measure several years ago. For that reason, I have a sorta-kinda-vested interest in his products (although NOT a financial interest). If you allow me to claim an objective viewpoint, though, I think he makes the finest products available - well worth whatever he charges for them. He hand makes almost all of it himself or personally inspects the small things he farms out to other shops.

Midway sells aluminum funnels that are a little pricey but very good quality. They are caliber specific but IMO worth the $$.

Precision reloading at one time sold aluminum funnels also. They had them in fixed sizes and a "universal" size that fit most cases. I don`t know if they still offer them or not though.

I've used to following places before when lookign for soemthing specific, but some of my best funnel finds were at swapmeets, and smalltown dog and pony shows.

I have an alumium funnel but rarely use it anymore. I go in the laundry room and pilfer one of mommas dryer sheets, works like a charm. Best wishes.

I use aluminum powder funnels that Sinclair carrys. They are $10.75 each and you have to buy one for each caliber you load.

Thanks everyone for your input to my question of :"how to get powder to NOT STICK to the sides of a plastic funnel". We have sort of run afar from that question but the answers that Jack and Ol` Joe provided me are great answers that worked so I guess I don't need any more. Thanks again.
