Swap around barrels...

I have often thought it was neat to have a spare barrel to swap onto a fovorite muzzleloader to have a totally different shooting system.

I have a .54 Renegade caplock that takes a single 12 gauge barrel. My other shooting system is a .45 flinter T/C Hawken that takes a .50 smoothbore barrel. I built a wooden chest-type gun case that houses both arms and the two spare barrels. I take the wooden chest on my treks in the truck and can hunt big game or small game with the shooting systems therein. All needed components and cleaning gear fit nicely into a 50 caliber ammo can.

hobbles,

I do not have a picture of my wooden gun chest nor do I have a scanner to do what is needed to get the picture into this computer machine.

My step-son is the 'puter guru and will set up my new 'puter and scanner as his schedule permits. I will post pictures of the gun box, me and my CW kit as soon as my new equipment is on site, AND after I learn how to input this new fangeled stuff. My computer learning curve is VERTICLE, be patient, please.

roundball,

Per your request, and Forum policy, I have moved your two threads selling your barrel and lockset to Swap&Shop.

I left a listing on my Forum so anyone interested and browsing Traditional Muzzleloaders can respond to your sales threads regarding your flintlock equipment. Be well.

Adam
