Question Screen names

Since Whanie started the "New Picture Thread" I thought I'd start the "How did you choose your screen name" thread. For those that haven't been here long, my last name is Couch. A guy I used to work with called me 'couch potato' (real original, I know). After a while, he shortened it to 'couch tater' and then to 'tater'. It's stuck with me for 13 years and it's even on my license plate. Your turn

And I was thinking your were a Potato Farmer in Idaho there Tator!

Mine was easy given the choices. I take a lot of guys hunting, and often we discuss where who is going to sit where. They always have first choice, then I'll say, well, I'm going to go sit in the West Corner seat or whatever. A while later they'll hear my shot, so I got the nickname Lucky Baxturd, or a similar spelling, which isn't appropriate here!! It's getting so bad I'll pick my spot and then trade with them. Naturally call it what you will, but it takes more than luck to consistently bag game.

Actually I don't have no good story on my nickname, so Dom it is, shortened up, Waidmannsheil!!

Duffy is my paternal grandmother's maiden name. She was an immigrant from Ireland. It somehow became a nickname for me from the family, and I've carried it with me ever since.

I grew up working on a farm, and like most farmkids, we didn't get paid anything. So, I didn't have any money, thus the handle Empty Pockets.

Mine is pretty simple. My name is Fabrizio Roman. Got the nickname Fabs in high school and it stuck with me through college and law school even though very few people I know followed me from one school to another. I have clients and friends from high school that still call me Fabs, and it throw my wife for a loop. She was at a creative memories get together with some of my high school friends' wives and they were all referring to me as Fabs. My wife said at first that she did not have a clue who they were talking about, but she eventually figured it out when they started talking about how handsome and fit Fabs is. LOL Just thought I would throw that in to see if I could get a laugh out of you guys, but seriously, it did take her a little while to figure out they were talking about me. My best friend from undergrad still calls me Fabs, as does my best friend from law school.

Guess I'm kinda odd, just use my real name. I sell auto parts and have passed out thousands of business card all over the west. All my customers and potential ones just call me by name. Most towns I visit and hunt around there are always a few that know by sight. So, I;m just me.LOL

Um, I think mine is obvious. Hunting females are pretty rare, so I thought I'd make sure everyone knew I was a girl, and I hunt deer. I know. It's not very original. Sorry.

I have a shirt that says, "Yes I hunt.......LIKE A GIRL!"

Have you guys (or gals, for deerhuntingirl) seen the movie 'Rudy'? My nickname comes from that movie.

When I was in middle school, I played soccer for the school team. The headmaster over there started calling me 'Rudy' after the guy in the movie, and it stuck. (Even though Rudy played football in the movie).

"Critch" is the first syllable of my last name "Crih-Field", (I know it looks like Cry-field, but we all pronounce it Critch-field). Anyway, when I was growing up in Doniphan, MO I was "Big Critch" and my little brother was "Little Critch"

One of my friends used to call me Wahnie, which means old friend in Athabaskan. I wish I could change my name, now. I go by AK Guitarist or Northern Lights pretty much everywhere else.
