Can't say that I have. I have thought about it, but I then read about the .257 Allen Xpress magnum built by Kirby Allen in Montana and I think I like the dimensions on that cartridge better than the .257 STW and the performance is similar.

If you do build one, let us know how it performs. My problem is that I have a hard time with the diminishing returns once you get beyond the .257 Weatherby and I have not been able to force myself to make the leap. My .25-06 and .25-.284 just keep knocking them over.

Still, the velocity increase is appealing...............

I had one built on a Rem 700 action four years ago and love to shoot it I have used it on all type of game if you need more info on this rifle i can mail it out to you plus a lot of reloading data that i have worked out for this rifle ,the barrell is 26 inches long made by gillard,

if you could send the info that would be great.I have a rem 700 that i could use its a sps and its chambered in 300 winchester right now would this action work
