Buying used TC muzzleloaders is the lowest risk used rifle purchase that there is, due to the fact that TC has a true lifetime warranty second to none, regardless if the original owner or not. The main thing you need to verify is that the bore is clean and rust free...TC doesn't warranty a barrel that's become rusted/pitted through neglect of course.
But anything else like a defective lock, a cracked stock, a barrel shooting off line, etc, they'll replace free of charge...not speculation on my part, it's a fact...they've done it for me a number of times over 15 years with various TC Hawken items...if the bore is good, $200 is a very good price.

I purchased a used Renegade a few years back and have been very satisfied with it. I got mine for $200 also. Suggested retail is I believe $460 or $470.
