type of sabots

I just picked up my new Omega- thmbhole laminate stock with a 4x scope. I would appreciate any suggestions on the preferred type of Sabots and grain+propellent for large deer and elk here in New Mexico thanks!

I like the 250gr t/c shockwave for deer, and the 300gr bonded shockwave would be a good choice for elk. 120gr FFG is my normal and most accurate powder charge.

I like 150 pyrodex pellets pushing 300 grm T/C Shockwave spirepoints. #8230. Not sure what the 8230 refers to unless it is the spire point which is yellow, there is also a red and blue. with different numbers. I site in so that I am 3/4 inch high at 75 yards.

I run the TC shockwaves and I switched from the black sabots to the newer yellow "easy glide" ones seems to make second and third round reloads MUUUUUUUUUUUUCH easier.
Accuracy was the same with both.

Fireman72,
What cal. is it. My good loads for my .32 cal. probly won`t work in yours if yours is .45 or .50 cal.

Try 295grain powerbelts in front of 150grains of 777.

Works for me...very well.
