Very Intersting Thursday

As the 50 degree weather has moved Doves a little out of the area, I went to range early yesturday, had a very intersting time.
As most of the people shooting there are LEO....a mil team was to put on a demo for several SWAT units. Being there at 0800, I started my shooting and had the rare opportunity to shoot with a Delta team! No names were swapped but it was a pleasure. Young team leader was a picture book of the of the warrior, so was the team members...clear eyes and NO fat! They seamed a little reluctant to chat with a civie at frirst...lostened up when a ICE man showed up....my neighbor...was invited to shoot with them.
You know you are getting old when you say Lieutenant, your kids are damn good!...Lt was about 23......we swaped a few comments and he said " Thank you, sir. I salute you".....
Damn, I'm glad these youngsters are on our side!!!!
Let's keep the thanks and knee mail that I may meet this group in the future....all intact! 1000 yd stare does not
count, just goes with reality! Got to DC, look at the statue.... the eyes.....another life time ago!

Val, trust me, those guys were DAM good! I just lucked into this thing...had no idea that it would be any different that a normal weekday shoot.
Getting to shoot with them was icing!Picked up a few pointers,
just didn't participate in the running fire course.Probably will never happen again.
