rats

Well I guess I'm gonna start rat trapping again.
I stopped to talk to a guy building a duck blind at a new pond (4 years old) yesterday. I was interested in fishing for bait in the rather large pond. Sunnies for bank poling.
I didn't gain permission to fish it but in talking to him he mentioned that the rats were chewing his decoys. I asked him if he would mind if I trapped some of the rats out.
Long story short I'm gonna start getting rid of some of the problem rats as soon as the season starts. Not only that he said he knows several ponds that have rats.
We exchanged phone numbers and
I left him to build his blind and couldn't help grinning at my good luck.
