Be carefull who you sell to and trust.

I cannot say for certain that the individual came from this site as I sell on 2 different ones but......I shipped a set of .303 dies to Canada around the middle of August and was assured that the money was on its way. As of Sept 24th I am still waiting.
I suppose it is possible that they have been held up by Canada Customs but would US Customs hold up a cheque/money order?
Emails for this transaction were sent to jwfischer@sympatico.ca
so be carefull out there.

Customs would not hold a check. Sorry to hear about this.

Me, I am waiting on delivery of two items that I bought on e-bay. Paid for them on September 7 and September 17. I'm not too worried about the one from the 17th, but I am starting to worry about the one from the 7th. I'll give it another week and see what happens.

As a freak occurrence, I sold one thing to a guy on this board. He was from Michigan and I told him that I would wait for his check to clear my bank account before I sent him the spotting scopes I had. Everything worked out fine and he was more than happy with the spotting scopes that I had no use for.

Internet transactions are kind of scary sometimes.

Never ship anything untill the cheque clears. Even a MO!

If ya do, you will get it in a dark spot sooner or later.

Always use a credit card if possible, with them you have recourse.

No member on this board with that email address. Sorry for your loss, but I'm kind of like hnter and especially when doing transactions on the internet. Nothing ships until the money clears. Treat it like a business. Cabelas sure isn't gonna ship you something first, based on your word that you'll pay "sometime". Sounds like the famous "Check's in the mail" bit!

I'd sent a email each and every day, bombard him with reminders until he gets the point. Obviously you have the address. Did you send with delivery confirmation for proof you actually sent it? Just little things you live and learn I guess. Hopefully it'll all turn out for you. Luckily it wasn't a big dollar item

send more letters..but not to him !

Xerox copies of a letter explaining how you were taken advantage of.

but send them to ALL his neighbors.....just change the address a few digits and let them in on the bum ! Heck, Google the local business and govt offices in his town and send them a copy too.

No liable/slander.....just the facts

Maybe getting comments from his neighbors and others will give his morals a kick in the pants

I found out the awning maker in this local area uses thompsons water seal on most of their awnings...hum...so I did that on my leaky camper one and it lasted the whole summer....

Guess I have nothing to lose and will try some of this stuff.
I am sure the guy didn't sell me this thing intentional knowing it leaked and he might not have even known it.
