Most of the examples I have seen were very good. Other than that I can't give a whole lot of experience with them. A buddy of mine has been using his for a couple of years to cut plasitc boxing straps and it has rarely needed to be sharpened (I should know he could ruin a butter knife trying to sharpen it, I have to sharpen all his knives for him)

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy another Cold Steel knife. I have one of their folders and an SRK fixed blade and they've both served me well for many years.
