Smile Me and my Shadow

Last Thursday night at our Nashville Delta Waterfowl banquet, I was fortunate enough to be the high bidder on a puppy from J. Paul Jackson's Lone Oak Retrievers in Dyersburg, TN. He's been a joy and a handful for the last week, but the wife and I are enjoying him. It took us 5 days to name him but finally we decided on; Grayghost's Midnight Shadow of Lone Oak. We are calling him Shadow. He is 8 weeks old today and already is using his nose. Depending upon how his motivation goes, he may see his first work in the field when spring light goose season opens. If not, we'll get after those Teal and Woodrow's next September. Good hunting, grayghost

Cute puppy. I can still remember when Nitro was a puppy. Now, he is three years old.

nothin is cute like a baby lab. a few years ago i thought about one decided i didnt have the time to put into a hunting dog with school and all so i now have a retarded beagle. i cant get over the price on a good blood line lab, a friend i hunt with rarely told me he might be able to give me a good price because he raises field champs like crazy. apparently a good price was about 1200, yeesh! enjoy that little dog, my cousins grew up so quick he still thinks he is a lap dog and can run and jump on your lap, he is about 75 lbs now.
