Well, I took my youngest brother and sister out this weekend several times each. My brother isn't 14 yet (a few weeks away) and he took a button buck with a crossbow saturday evening. He made a great shot and you couldn't wipe the grin off his face for anything! My sister had two close calls, one missed shot and the other offered no shot opportunity, but seeing the enthusiasm and emotion that she put in made it all worth it! What a great weekend of hunting!

good show. I know I still remember my first deer. Something like that you never forget.
Taking the youngsters is always a good thing.

when ever hunting isnt going my way and my passion starts to drift to a passion for sleeping in, i take new hunters out, they have an enthusiasm that reminds me of myself not being able to sleep years ago

Yes indeed. I'd have to say that sitting beside my sister when she missed the doe was probably the most exciting hunt I've been on a a few years. She's never killed a deer before, and I really hope I'm there when she drops her first one. That was my brother's second deer, first during bow season. Still a huge thrill.
