Would appreciate $$ estimate

I have a Win. Model 70 in 300 Win. Mag, Glass bedded and free floated barrel, Bushnell 3x9x40 "Command Post" scope.
Overall it is in very good condition, has marks on it from 30 years of loving use.
Realistically what can I ask for this??

Hmmmm .....

I don't know much about the rifle or scope, but you'll have a heckuva time "collecting" the barrel-bedding job.

If the gun has aluminum Weaver type bases and rings, that will also be a sunk cost you'll likely loose.

But in general terms I'd expect to see a $300 to $400 price tag on similar rifles at the gun shows I attend in Seattle and western Washington. If that scope was a pricey Leupold with similar-brand steel rings and base, maybe the price at the WA shows would exceed $550 or much more.

Is that a top-line scope? Or middle-road in price?

What will the market "bear" at the gunshows you attend?

mod 70 value

A dealer would offer about $300.00. $400-450 is about right if sold to an individual. Glass bedding & free floated bbl adds nothing, the Bushnell only adds a little.

the command post scope was used on the scope chief line of older bushnell scopes and also on the baush & lomb line scopes (elites). i had one of the elites after they switched the name from baush & lomp to the bushnell name after the buy out. they are very decent well made japan scopes and will fetch around 100.00 - 150.00 on ebay depending on the condition and power range (does it have an O.A.). while you wont get your money back on the glass bedding you should be able to hold your price to the top market dollar for that rifle because of it if selling to an individual.

JimHnSTL....I am at a loss as to who to believe. Some posters say that I'll never get my $$$ back for the FF/GB, others say it does absolutely nothing for a gun, and still others say it puts the value up significantly.
What the heck is going on?????

I gave both sides of the picture. Both dealer and private sellers.

Whaas the problem? Have ya advertised it? Where? Or were ya wanting an offer from here?

LOL...no I haven't even listed it yet. I get choked up every time I think about selling it. It was my very first high powered rifle and my gut tells me that if I sell it, it's time to start diggin the hole for me. I guess when it gathers a little more dust I might make a decision.
Thanks for you help.
