Had a good day hunting and sight seeing.

The weather wasn't very good today. There is a few inches of snow on the ground, and was windy and in the low 30's. I packed some snacks, coffee, couple of soda's, and the .223 and 12 gauge. Went out to some of my family's property. Seen several hundred pronghorn, saw a couple trophy whitetail and muledeer. I got my limit of sharptail grouse, and a coyote, all in a few hours. The deer were out in full force too. Saw three more coyotes, only got a shot at one of them, but a little too far and too windy, kind of a hail mary shot. The one I did get was a good sized *****, and the fur was already pretty prime.

I have heard there has been a few isolated cases found of CWD. But haven't heard anything this year.

Sure wished I would have had some snow when trying to get my daughters elk for her = now we have to waite till December to try it again.
I turned in a deer to the GF&P a few weeks back that I am sure had CWD. They sent the head in and I will check and see what the results were this week. It was a classic example and was found in a yard in Sturgis. No wonder as we have tons of deer and the State can't seem to understand they need to drop the price of the doe tags to get things thinned out. Mother Nature will do it for them pretty soon.
