Opening day buck and trapping a trapping picture.

Not the biggest one, but I'm very happy with the buck. My best to date, so far...

Took'em with a Ruger M77 30-06 with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9.

My grandfather's 4pt. Back left hoof was messed up. I watched this deer about 30 minutes before it worked its self of to him. When I seen this deer, it was on 3 legs and it kept licking his hoof. Looked like he got stuck in a trap, perhaps.

Last picture. Just a trapping picture of some muskrats and a couple of coon.

Waidmannsheil Varmintsniper and also to your Grandfather. That's a great way to spend some time together, and you both got deer!! Good shooting, Dom.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I had a great time Up North hunting. I try to get out every chance I get.

Skeet- Trapper and prator caller maginzine say "Good fall XLs at $6 to $6.50. Winters at $ 8.50 to $9.00 or a little better. Averages nearly $9 at international auctions. Demand is building."

Here's what they say about coons.
"Raccoons XXXL and XXL, A/B is II's at highs of $20 to $22. Some select at $24 to $26. Expect early advances."

I got about 20-25 muskrats now. Motor is down on the boat, may wait till ice is on the lakes to go back out for the muskrats. Ice is starting to form on our channels, I give it another week and the lake will start freezing over.

Trapping etc.

Those really are a couple of nice deer. Glad you could do it with your grandfather. Ol guys like me like to get one ever now and then too.
Hey if the prices are that high on fur..I really need to get out trapping. Can't believe they'll stay that high. I'm gonna start callin coyotes real soon too. Got one of the nicestcoyote rifles. Bushmaster varminter. They can run but they can't hide. Darn thing is accurate. Luck to you when the trapping season gets in full swing for ya.
