Talking I am back...Howdy Rocky

I haven't been around for a long time. I have been busy with graduate school and I am about to finish up.

Sorry I haven't been in touch much Rocky. You know life for me has had a lot of up and downs these last 2 and 1/2 years.

I have been hunting some, but not a lot. I never got a chance to go out for prairie dogs, but I interviewed with Halliburton over in Casper last week. I should know whether I get the position sometime the beginning next week. I already have some offers, but I want to go into the oil/gas industry and I have heard good things about Halliburton.

Some things have changed so i thought I would hang out here again.

I hope you are well and I will drop you an email here in the next couple of days.

Peter

Actually

Halliburton is spinning off most of what they acquired while Cheney was with the company. The people I spoke with said that KBR isn't doing well, compared to the Energy Services part of Halliburton and they had too much political baggage from the start. KBR is being sold. Halliburton from what I gathered wants nothing to do with it anymore.

I was watching something on one of those news shows and it was stating that alot of the big wig companies which I could be wrong but I thought they included Haliburtin was getting into various aspects of water filtration, water exploration fields just about any and all aspects of water....the bottom line...trying to privatize water and or control major aspects of getting water to the people and cities....I am sounding stupid now but When I heard it, I thought...oh great...everytime I turn the sink on I gotta pay these guys......you didnt say anything in your profile, so give us the scoop...

Welcome back, Peter. I got to wondering about you when you even stopped posting on that other board you visit. Good to hear from you again.

I sincerely hope that all is finally improving for you and your family.

Hey...

On water well, I know in Idaho it is in the Constitution that the State owns the water. You have rights to it, but the water and all land below the high water mark is public domain. Might be different for other states, but in Idaho the above is the law of the land.

Glad to be back Rocky. How is life treating you?

Peter

Best yet, bud. Published two novels in a year, about to retire in order to write more, and (best of all) am six weeks from being a Grampa. Little Rachel is bulgingly, protuberantly, expansively making a new woman of my daughter Christina - for sure!

Glad to hear it...

Well, I am glad you are doing well and I know you will make a great grandfather. Congrats!

Well, due to a couple of things I am probably going to work for a large construction company named Kiewit. I am not sure where I will be assigned, I will say some where West of the mississippe or however you spell it, to Hawaii. All the way up to Alaska. The base salary is pretty good and the benefits and the like good. It is a job out of the door and then we see where it goes from there.

Have a great one and again congrats on everything.
