Question Leupold VX-L

An unexpected opportunity came about recently and I'll be heading for Zimbabwe in about six weeks. I won't be hunting any Big 5 game, just plains game on this trip. Have any of you had the chance to use Leupolds new VX-L scope? I'm considering getting one but haven't talked to anyone that has used one. Good hunting, grayghost

Been watching your post and since no one has one I`ll tell you about a friends. He uses it on a 7 mm mag. for shooting coyotes at long range. He loves it and I`m impressed with it and the side focus. I`m on the look out for one with mill dots myself for my .22-6mm. I don`t know what yardage you`ll be shooting at, but unless you`ll be shooting over 400 yrds. I don`t think you`ll see much advantage and 500 yrds. and out is where I think they really come into their own.
