Finnaly shot my 1st birds of the year

I have not done much duck/goose hunting this year, been in the deer stand more, and the birds really are not down here yet. But I went out goose hunting yesterday with 4 other guys and we finnaly had a good day. We all got our limit on geese and we killed a crackling goose so that was an added bounus. Don't see many of them around here.

The pic did not turn out too well, it was taken from my phone.

Del,

Glad to see that you have been out hunting. Me, I didn't go deer hunting at all this year and I have only gone waterfowling twice. Didn't even see anything when we went duck hunting, and when we went goose hunting we saw plenty. Killed 5 geese between 4 guys, but ended up quitting too soon because we all had to be somewhere else that afternoon. As we were picking up the decoys, thousands of geese came by and hundreds of ducks were in the air. Oh well, maybe they will be there next time.

Well with the weather the way it is I am not hopefull for the ducks, but the geese should be around, The Snow birds have just started to come in thick. Wehave had some around for better then a month but here in the past 2 weeks they have started to thicken up. I think I may pick up anouther doz. or 2 of flocked head shells, and a few more field duck decoys. You get down this way Fabs I'll take you hunting, can't promise a thing, but a morning sitting out in the field

Del,

Just let me know what days you will be going. My calendar is somewhat open in January and there is nothing more I would enjoy than sitting in a field with you. I have 7 dozen shell canadian goose decoys and my own layout blind. The only thing I will need to get is a Delaware hunting license.

Pretty much any of the remaining weekends is fine with me. Not sure if you want to spend that kinda money for just a day or 2 of hunting, but I will check and see if there is a 3 day license.

Sorry it took a few days to get back to you, It got a little crazy this week.

edit: here is the website for Delawares fish & wildlife Link

Delaware license fees are nothing compared to Maryland's. I think I spent close to $50 for my resident hunting license. If I understand this correctly, a non-resident three day license is $35 and a non-resident year long license is $85 and I would have to buy a state stamp too for $9. I wouldn't have a problem paying either license fee. When does the season end down there?
