Dillon Question...

I'm thinking seriously about buying a Dillon progressive reloader. I just have a hard time getting time to reload! I love loading my own, but it just takes too long on my single stage RCBS... The Lee Turret press is better, but it doesn't load rifle ammo and the quality is questionable. My big question is... On a Dillon ...how much set-up time is involved in switching caliber, charge weight ect. before you can crank out 300-500 ronds per hour?

Thanks for all your info...

Set-up time depends on what round your changeing from and to. If you are changeing from .243 to .30-06 al that is required is to change the tool head and the powder measure, 2 mins. tops. If your changeing from 06 to .357 mag. , then you have to also change the priming tube and the shell holder. Even the long cannges only take about 5 min. once the tool heads are set up. I`ve been loading on a 550 since the 70`s and still think it`s better than sliced bread.
