Instead of the Super Bowl we hunted

Yesterday was a fine day, two hunting buddies and I left the house at 6:30 AM and drove over to Santa Rosa Clays. We shot a round of clays. I shot the round with a new 525 Browning 20 ga 32 inch gun, bought the 525 at the range. We then went and ate lunch. After lunch we drove over to Alabama to the bird field. We had 25 quail put out. My 391 Beretta Silver Side 20ga 24 inch bird gun got to go to the field. We let the English setter point and retrieve a few birds, put 30 birds in the bag. We were back at the house at 6:30 PM. Dead tired....

Now, that was 1000% better day than watching the boob tube for 6 hours....

Yep, I would have preferred your day to mine. I worked until 4:00 yesterday and then headed over to my parents for dinner and the Super Bowl. That Super Bowl was slightly exciting in the beginning, but it became rather boring as it went along.

Any time spent hunting or shooting is time better spent than watching TV.

No doubt about it. Sure beat my day. I ended up having to work. But probably wouldn't have watched the game anyway. Would much rather have been hunting birds.
