Going quail hunting & fishing

1 week from today, I'm meeting my brother and dad down in Atlanta where we'll then drive to way south Georgia and go bird hunting and fishing for about 3 or 4 days. We're staying on-location; good friends of our own a preserve down there who let us come down every year and have the place to ourselves for a few days.

This time we'll have a camera, so after the trip I'll post some pics of that puppy I've been bragging about my dad purchased last spring. I'm looking forward to seeing her work. From what I hear, she's already doing VERY well.

Anyway, with all that said, I want to bring up another topic. We're having a very hard time finding birds. The hurricanes wiped out some bird farms in Florida, so the demand has been high, and we're finding that lots of places in Georgia are all dried up. Anyone know of a place near Haihira, GA or between Chattanooga and Atlanta on 75 that we can buy birds at?

There's a place called Triple S Quail Farm a few miles south of Dalton on 75 that we've been in touch with... any other ideas?

Photos!

Well, just got back earlier this evening from a great weekend in South GA. We set out 30 birds and came home with 27. We also caught 16 nice sized fish.

Here are some pictures of the 13 month old setter as well as our 11 year old brittany.

(I guess it doesn't need to be said, but might be safe to say it anyway.... we retain copyright permissions of these photos. One of them is being edited and used on a commercial website)
