Who/Where to get the best prices for a set of shellholders?

Hello again Everyone!,
Well, I was going through my old reloading equipment, and setting it up again......for the first time in many, many years...

Reloading presses..............Check!
Reloading dies....................Check!
Trimmer, Scale.....................Check!
Brass, powder, Etc. ............Check!
Lee Prime All+Shellholders....Check!
Just about everything else.....Check!

Set of lyman shell holders for the presses??????????? (Looks High!)

Set of lyman shell holders for the presses??????????? (Looks Low!)

Set of lyman shell holders for the presses??????????? (Looks EVERYWHERE!)

Dang!

Looks like...somewhere between the last house & this one, I lost/misplaced my set of shell holders. So, I need a new set.

Who has a good set & Who has good prices????

shellholders

I know it is a hard thing to take...but I would probably go with a whole set of shellholders from...Lee of all companies. I have Lyman, RCBS, Herters and even some Reddings..but for the price the Lee's are as good as any! and cheaper

I agree. Having them all from the same maker eliminates any slight dimensional differences among them.

I discovered that there are such differences between brands when I substituted a Brand A shellholder with one from Brand B once. The headspace changed on sized cases. Unfortunately, I didn't discover that until at the range - none of the loaded rounds would chamber.

Now I keep a shellholder in the box with the dies for one-of-a-kind sizes. If I have more than one cartridge that can use the same shellholder, I make sure that use the same one for all those rounds.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I did know about the practice of sticking with the same shelholder(s) when reloading, and I plan to....It's just I lost my >full set< of lyman shellholders in the move from our old house, to our new one.
I do plan on buying a whole set, when I buy one.

I was just asking what set, and from Whom to buy them?

I have been looking at the full Lee set, as I (A.) have always had good luck with Lee products, and (B.) the price is better than the other sets....for something that is pretty much the same, regardless of who makes it.

But I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks Again!

Shellholders

TS although I have a complete set of RCBS shellholders(every one) if I were going out to buy them now it would be the Lee set. I bought mine(RCBS) at an auction for 10 bucks and they were on the little shellholder board that RCBS has plus some in a plastic box. They were all as new. However I really don't see much difference in them so go with cheap. The rest of Lee stuff except for maybe the case trimmers etc I have no use for. Mostly junk. Oh the factory crimp dies are ok too. Just took a Rem 700 221 Fireball rifle on trade and lo and behold I got a new set of Lee dies for the Fireball for 4 dollars so I am going to try them out. Hey what the heck...the price was right and if they work ok I'm way ahead of the game. I use the factory crimp die for my 22 Hornets. Have a very accurate Ruger 77-22H that likes the loads I make with the crimp die

Just typed it into yahoo, and came up with a few sources online for $25 or less. Kinneman's, Outdoor Super Store, and others have the set listed online for what seems to be a pretty decent price. Also, there's at least 3 up for sale on ebay as I type this. That would probably be where I'd start.
