Question Range Finders- Need a good basic model.

Looking for a good basic model range finder for 100-400 yds (max). w/o breaking the bank.

Look around online for a Bushnell compact 800. The max range is very rarely the maximum for ranging deer, etc. If you look around, you should be able to find one for around $200. i've got one, and have been very satisfied with it up to this point.

I had an 800 yrd. Bushnell and it did not hold up at all for me. I got a Nicon and it was better, but still has it`s draw backs. I`m now useing a Leupold that was made by Wind River that is in a pair of 8X bino`s. It is barely better at rangeing than the others I`ve had, but I not only have to carry 1 piece of gear as I also use it as bino`s.
