New sight for my AR-15
I just got an Aimpoint CompM2 from a friend of mine for $250 It's already mounted on my AR and I'm hoping to be able to get out and do some shooting with it this weekend. Anyone have this sight or a comparable type? Good, bad? Thanks.

A young Marine Recon Corporal buddy has been "field testing" my Aimpoint Comp M4 and 3x magnifier in Iraq for the last four months. COMSEC/OPSEC precludes his providing details, but he has had no complaints.

I put a 3 x 9 Leupold on mine. I guess I`ve just been shooting with scopes to long and can`t get used to that flouting around in the Aim Point. I supose I could get used to one if I really tried, but I`m getting to old to swtich now.

I know what you mean about the dot floating around. I bought mine to sit on my new upper (when I get one). I'm going to buy a 16" upper and collapsible stock and build it like an M-4 and I like the quick sight acquisition of the dot-type sights. I have a VariX II that will sit up top of my 20" upper for the longer range stuff.
