I don't know Dan. I've been up bow hunting for elk and had 4 to 5 inches of snow on the ground by the 10 th of September. Maybe a tad early, don't know what your elevation is, but it usually doesn't stay very long.

I haven't been up bow hunting for elk for about three years. The guy I used to hunt with moved to Nebraska and since I broke my leg while hunting birds by myself a few years ago, I figured that maybe it wasn't a good idea to be up there by myself. We did see a lot of elk every year we went up though. I did shoot two while hunting up there and had lots of oppurtunities. Would come back with a deer almost every year. It was lots of fun.

It was mid sixties here yesterday and no rain but we got rain off and on the three days prior. We needed that.

Dan

Here in Reno, we would love some precipitation. Almost 90 days without any rain and in the mid to high 90's. BTW, I use to live in Steamboat Springs back in the early 60's and have a brother-in-law that lives in Kremmling. I've been Elk hunting with him several times in the mid to late 90's
