DOW says they Goofed

Yesterday, Colorado DOW says they goofed...a little. Elk heard in NW Colorado is about 2-3 times bigger than they originally said....
wish they had discovered this before they had the elk draws!
it now numbers about 28K.
Dan

It was late, that 2 to 3 times bigger..

They had the same problem in Alaska several years back and started handing out tags on a first come first served basis.

Hey Dan

These good ol boys up here in Wy can solve that problem with too many elk without all that nasty hunting stuff. We'll just send ya some of our wolves...not that you aren't gonna get 'em soon anyway Keep a check you may get a chance for a tag yet!!
