Seasonal CCW carry arms?

A neighbor asked me if I carried the same CCW piece all year round, or did I change with the season, weather, location, etc. Actually, I had not thought about it much until then. I tend to carry the M1911 day in and day out around home.

When I travel downstate, I often put the M1911 in the suitcase and put on a 3-inch M65 Smith for the urban areas. In the past, I put the M65 in an ankle holster in Summer.

Do any other CCW folks change arms with the season?

Adam

I do. In warmer weather, I usually carry my Colt Detective Special in .38 Special or my Walther PPK/s in .380; I find them a bit easier to conceal during 'shorts and T shirt' weather. When I can wear a coat or sweatshirt, then I carry my 1911 or my CZ75.

definately, some guns just fit under clothes better than others, although i like to go as big as possible, when i am knee deep smallmouth fishing with out a shirt a .22 fits better in a top pocket than anything else i have.
