Smile WOW! I just shot my nosler model 48!!!!

well i have been saving $$$ for a long long time for a special rifle\scope combo. i purchased a nosler model 48 in 270 wsm. i topped it with the new swarovski Z6 2-12x50. the rifle has been getting rave reviews. rifle itself weighs 6.5 lbs.

i took it to the range with some custom loaded nosler ammo. 140 gr accubond at 3230 fps. WOW! my dream come true. multiple 3/4" or less groups right from the start. this coming from a guy who only gets to the range about 4 times a year. The fit and finish, balance and feel of this rifle is everything i wanted. i know guys that have spent double what i did on a custom rifle and they are a whole lot heavier and shoot the same or maybe just a hair better. my only problem now is that i am spoiled and only want to purchase nosler rifles. (not in my budget)) he he.

The barrel on the rifle is made by pac nor. hand lapped. this is the nicest barrel i have ever owned. what a difference their is in clean up with a custom barrel. it truly ruins a guy, i wish all my rifles would clean up so easily, quickly.

i know, i know, i also have a tikka/luepold combo that shoots almost as good, but like i said, this one is "special".

hofts, maybe that was the "boom" that everyone was talking about in Southwestern Minnesota the other day on the news. It was probably you at the range.

Good for you, what hunts do you have planned with your new rifle?

hofts,

Congradulations; everyone deserves a sub-MOA rifle. I have a few and they give me confidence afield as your's should. Now, get off the bench and see what you can do from hunting positions at 100 yards.

I use the bench to set my sights/scope and then shoot a dozen rounds or so from offhand, sitting and prone positions. I know it is me and not the rifle when the groups open up a bit. Good shooting.

Adam
