Would anyone have xperience with, or a book of assembly intructions for the Savage 24s. I removed the trigger and trigger spring and would like to know where the trigger spring is to contact the hammer sear. Also any advice on holding everything in line for reassembly. Thank-you Kurt

Go to http://savagearms.com. They have downloadable manuals.

Best wishes, Bill

And as for keeping everything lined up have a little genetic work done and grow a 3rd arm and hand. Actually not that bad .When you see the exploded drawing it will come into focus for you

Red face

Bill and Skeet,

Thank -you for the advice! I figured out how thw spring went. It is held to the trigger by the receiver pin then wraps around the front of the hammer. I reassembled everything, but made a mistake in the order of assembly and I tried to compensate by fileing a part- now I have a new one ordered to make it all right. Without prior knowledge or a good instruction book it's a bit tricky. Awh heck to be honest, after I had tried about 10 times to put the thing together I bent something.

Thanks again,
Kurt

Gee Kurt, now your the only one thats ever done that ! first rule of gunsmithing, whenever you have to force, file, hammer or curse something into place get ready for a screw-up.

Another thing about the manuals, you have a part # to refer to when you have to order them.

Bill
