Five pots of Lead Cast into Balls and Bullets...

I mentioned on another thread about getting 50 pounds of pure lead. Well, I have enough .45, .50 and .54 Roundballs and enough .45 Maxis, .50 Maxis and .54 Maxis to last me until Election Day 2008. If that goes the wrong way, I will cast a lot more because we maybe should.

It has been a wonderful Indian Summer week here in northcentral Pennsylvania. I now need to go scrounge more pure lead.

Now I know where to get some muzzleloader balls in .45, .50 and .54. All the best...

Swift,

Yes, I learned long ago to cast in nice weather.

Gil,

Come on by and shoot some of these projectiles at the gongs. Take home what you need.

I want to watch you throw some of those maxis at deer, when the PGC allows deer to return to your area. Take care...

Joe Boleo,

Good to hear from you, my friend. Please come to the farm to hunt, but you must wear your French and Indian War outfit circa 1756. Naturally, we will ONLY use roundball for our trek afield over the wooded ridges.

Adam, Be careful around all of that lead, I have heard you can get lead poisioning from casting your own bullets ... the first signs of which are your inability to float or swim.

Contenderizer,

LOL. I cast outdoors with a Coleman Stove and stay upwind of the lead pot. I wear heavy work gloves, long sleeves and eye protection.
