What law was enacted a year ago today?

A year ago today Congress passed a law that has not been fully, or even marginally, inplemented. What law was that? Hint: This law corrected a problem we incurred in 1848, so it is really a "Back in Time" scenario. The difference between last year and 1848 is you folks were not paying for inaction then as you are today.

That could only be the Border Fence Law.

Dog Yeller,

You are CORRECT! To date, 365 days later, a total of 18.5 miles of 845 miles of fence has been erected! Keep paying the IRS so we can keep paying all the costs of the fence shortfall. Whatever.

The tax shortfall/gap (i.e., what should have been paid and what was actually paid) was about $340 billion. That is a lot of fence and a lot of war. Seems that most Americans aren't paying what they should be paying, and trust me, I see a lot of it. Just saw a client deducting baby formula as office supplies. It is either out of lazyiness or ignorance that she didn't pull that amount out of the Costco invoice that did include some office supplies in it. I have been meaning to write her a letter about it. Also saw a purchase of $450 from Williams & Sonoma in the office supplies category, but didn't see any receipt for the purchase.

Trust me, there are plenty of things wrong with this nation. Too many people in the "want now, pay later" generation.

By the way, isn't it amazing how the entire immigration topic has fallen by the wayside? Why don't we hear anything more about this topic? Why isn't anything being done about this issue? Why hasn't anything been passed this session to address this matter? I know why, because it is too political and too many politicians are worried about their jobs.
