Amen. And we should also remember all those like them. At this moment, somehere many miles away there are young Americans who would love to hear that their sacrifices are not unappreciated. Why not take the time to send a simple package, or at least a card? If neither you nor anyone in your circle of acquaintances has contact info, see link below for another way to do this. It could mean more to some brave, lonely young person far from home at Christmas than you will ever know.

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

Dittos.
I've been reading about the war in the Pacific.
Pretty horrendous conditions and the sacrifices our guys went thru leaves me shaking my head sometimes.

Hey Dan

Read my little dissertation "Titled I'm PO'd". This is typically whats wrong in this country. POS Bonds makes the front page and Pearl Harbor sucks hind teat. Do we have our lists of heroes out of whack?

IMO, things have been in a retrograde for years. WW2 they were heroes...Korea troops were all but forgotten.....Nam, we were bums, junkies and murderers...Desert Storm ........fared better.....got a lot of kids that are growing up QUICK in the sand.
Hands tied behind em.
Sense WW2...America has been more concerned with PC than
stability.I'm afaid this country is a bygone thing unless we take control of things and go back to basics!!!!!This does not just apply to our military.....encompasses wevery day life also.
Dang, is this a rant?JMO
