Don't really know how to google But
Is the following true??
Legislators from Mexican State of Sonora angry at Influx of Mexicans. Posted by Kim Priestap Published: Jan 20, 08 01:39 PM Can you believe the nerve of these people? Nine state legislators from the Mexican state of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico. It seems many Mexican illegals are now returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked. A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona's new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state. At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora - Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns - cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here return to their hometowns without jobs or money. The law, which took effect Jan.1, punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals who don't have valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension or loss of a business license. They're pissed off because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a huge burden on their state government. This lady has some serious balls: 'How can they pass a law like this?' asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano Gamez, who represents Nogales. 'There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona,' she said in Spanish. 'Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems' it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and sending money to their families return to hometowns in Sonora without jobs, she said. 'We are one family, socially and economically,' she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona. Now that really breaks my heart. Too bad all the states don't pass a law just like it. Maybe that's the answer since congress will not do anything, and neither will the Governor and Legislators from Texas. Texas needs to elect people with cojones! Hell if this is true...Let's just give'em back the southern part of Aridzona...or take over the state of Sonora...and send all them illegals we got to Sonora make 'em learn English and get a So sec card and pay taxes More than they are doing now!

I'm all for taking over central America all the way to the Panama Canal. Putting up a border guard at the Panama Canal cannot be too hard, and enforcing our laws all the way down there shouldn't be too hard either. Nothing like illegals working here and sending the money abroad. Thereby, not even supporting the local economy they live and work in. Sending them back sounds good to me. Sonora is crying about not having the resources for them, and that is exactly why we are crying too.

and this too
This is only one state. If this doesn't open your eyes nothing will!
From the "L. A. Times": 1. 42% of all workers in L. A.County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card. 2. 96% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens. 3. 78% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens. 4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers. 5. Nearly 40% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally. 6. Over 350,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages. 7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border. 8. Nearly 70% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal. 9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking. 10. In L. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 4.3 million speak Spanish. (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County.) [All 10 of the above are from the Los Angeles Times] Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 37% are on welfare. Over 73% of the United States' annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York ) results from immigration. 34% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

Are you sure that is from the LA Times? I just find those numbers to be way too staggering to be real.
I'm struggling with the percentage of inmates that are illegal, but I guess we have to keep them here so they can serve out their sentence. I just hope they are being deported once they are let out. Honestly, I don't have much of an issue with the illegals that don't commit crime. We should find a way to make them legal so that they can contribute to the economy and pay their fair share of taxes. We just don't need the back portion of the illegals. I know a couple of illegal aliens that are great people and deserving to become Americans. I also know some legal aliens that are POS and should be sent home even though they are legal.

According to Snopes, this is a mish mash of data from several places, some true, some not, some hard to tell. Not from the L.A Times.

Thanks Jack.
What I find is that the Internet can be a great place for way too many myths that way too many people believe. Kind of like the myth of Nancy Pelosi supporting a flat tax. Honestly, I wish the Republicans and Democrats' relationship could be more like what was exhibited by them in the House on the Economic Stimulus package. Of course, the Senate botched things up. The majority of Americans are neither rich nor poor. I think that if they took care of the middle class, which most likely makes up the majority of Americans, then the country would be just fine. Nothing gets done because each side wants to look out for the extreme side of their constituency.

When I become King of the United States.
If you are illegal you will have two choices. 8 years in the army, navy, ect here's your canteen, and your rifle and after you can speak and write English and serve your 8 years you are a citizen. If you don't want to do your country any service, I deport you the first time and If you come back I line you up in the desert and fire squad you. Who want to vote me into King of the United States. My sister gets Colorado and dad get minnesota.

You know though
Even if this is not all true some of it is. The idea of them spending 8 yrs in the army is the same kind of thing that got Rome destroyed...way back yonder. No the only fair and equitable way to do this thing to get things on track is to deport all illegals back to where they came from. Then at the same time tell them to apply for legal immigrant status..or at least get a green card to come and work. Start over and the problem will rectify itself. I know we have good illegals and bad...as well as good and bad legals. The way of the world. But getting the illegals out and controlling the entry of them will solve many problems we really shouldn't have. I still don't think that a chlid born in this country of an illegal alien should be an automatic citizen. we really need to protect our economy and money. We have way too much money leaving this country supporting people and other nations economies. No taxes being paid on their income or social security taxes either. At the same time we have loads of people here on student and work visas that have expired. Send them out also. We need to punish employers who knowingly hire these illegals too in a serious manner. And I'm not talking of the local company.. If the Microsoft company owned the subsidiary then the top heads in Microsoft should be the ones to be responsible. Not some little underling. No loopholes no BS..just make the powers that own the companies be held responsible. Is that unreasonable?? No Fabs...don't go round Robin Hood's barn saying that we have to protect this or that company or person...saying they didn't know. Companies always look at the bottom line. ya know?. I'm talking common sense here. The thing that real laws originated from. Not from politicians or lawyers common sense...something that way too many of both don't seem to posess..present company excepted!

I'll go one step further, and add criminal liability to the owners of the corporation that hires illegals if they knew what was going on and I would make it travel upward to a parent company, but only if a certain percentage of the employees are illegals. Maybe 2% would be enough. Kind of hard to hold the owners of Ford completely liable and throw them in jail if one illegal slips through the cracks. Now, if an employer only has 3 employees, how hard can it be to check out all of them.
What really pisses me off is that the SSA records are available to employers, and they can readily check to see if an employee is legal or not. Even though I advise my clients of this, they take the don't want to know approach. I guess they think that as long as they tell the authorities that they had no idea the person was illegal, they will be just fine. Honestly, there needs to be a crackdown across the board. Using illegal labor makes it hard for the legal employers to compete because the illegals get paid at a reduced rate.

And Fabs
The country suffers for a persons bottom line. You and me included. As you said...the SSA records are available. Even the Ford Motor Company can check them. And criminally liable?? Don't know about that unless it was on a large scale or a recurring over and over thing. That shows disdain for the rule of law. But business liability..in other words..no business for a week..none...from the top on down. No loopholes. Just close it down. the first time..2nd time..2 weeks...after that 6 months Even Ford would REALLY check on the employees then. So would a small business...if they wanted to stay in business. Intrusion into our private affairs?? Not really any more than we already have
