Land prepping for fall

Welll we all know that the Southwest region has vastly different climates, enviroments, etc for hunting in. Are you changing, or doing anything to your land in prep for the comming season/ commoning years?

My prep began last week, and will continue on. I am moving around a bajillion knee high sapling wild east Texas plum trees out across the property. I will also me moving some wild east Texas persimmons as well. This will be done in an effort to take a dying unused area that was cow pasture for 70+ years into something that will help support both myself and the local wildlife. I have planted a few gardens on the property but out in the middle of these fields it seems like the only thing other than mahaya grass that will grow in the beating east Texas sun are pine trees, persimmon trees, plum trees, and blackberry vines. I will be building a couple of fence runs around 40' to 50' long and relocating blackberries under them to expand the amount of blackberries I have AND to get them into a better area on the property as well.

Alot of work ahead of me but I think it will be well worth it in the long run.
